Walt Briggs

When I was very small, I was convinced that my Grandpa Walt was the tallest person in the world. I would tell other kids my grandfather was a giant. His hands looked like they could turn rocks into powder. It wasn't until I became the height I am now did I realize, he was tall; Yes, sure. But his height, is a direct reflection of this mans personality. He was larger than life.

He commanded attention in every room he ever walked into, and everyone there was eager to give it.  My mom said to me the other day, that no matter what, he always made you feel safe.  The kind of man that took care of things that you wouldn't even have to think about. The kind of man who was always just as ridiculously charming as he was the day he was born. He made me laugh, and I could always walk away from the conversation with a smile on my face.  He made me feel special. I think he made us all feel special. He will be missed by so many. Loved by all of us. Rest in peace Grandpa. Save a spot for us on your Campbell in Heaven.

Poor kid.

Someday, he will look back and shake his head realizing I'm banana sandwich. And that I only know how to spell banana from Gwen Stefani. Don't ask me how I know how to spell glamorous.

Dear Bennett,

We went for a pretty awesome walk today. You are on the VERGE of laughing! I cant wait to hear it. We walked over to CVS so I could look at nail polish. You were really not interested. The cashier commented how alert you were. You had the most sour look on your face. You were very displeased with what CVS had to offer. I should wait until you discover candy then I suppose this will change.

We then went to the Kid's Consignment place. You loved the air conditioning, and promptly (finally!) passed out. It was short lived. I found some more straight jackets for you, ie the Summer Infant Swaddle Me. Unfortunately it is the only way you will sleep at night, since you love to punch yourself in the face and wake yourself up.   Your also wearing jeans for the first time today. You look pretty ridiculous. Baby jeans sag, and they are giant wide leg raver jeans. I would have thought they were the BEST circa 96. I'll have some explaining to do about the 90's. They weren't exactly pretty.

You also love to listen to Adele. You love Set Fire to the Rain so much, sometimes its the only thing that keeps you from being a total fuss-ass. You can listen to this song OVER AND OVER AND OVER. Your Aunt Jackie was a witness this phenomenon. I just think you have fantastic taste in music. I did play Jason Aldean while I was pregnant like it was my job. *Swoon.*

Anyway, just wanted to fill you in my love.
Your Momma.

I must be emotional.

I have always been a ehh Gaga fan. I will totally clean the kitchen to Poker Face and annoy the hell out of my husband for 4 months screaming Alejandro. I kinda got her, but kinda didn't understand her BSC ways. (Bat Shit Crazy to those who are not in the know, now you know- put it in the memory bank) I recently had the pleasure of seeing the Google Chrome commercial with Lady Gaga. I seriously got chills! I #$%&*!@ LOVE that commercial. Here it is if you would like to play along.

Is that great or is that just me?! Love it. Kind of embarrassing. Ben needs some boob so I'll be back later.
